Tickets will go on sale this Friday @ 10AM CST for $17.76. Tell your friends and family about this site. Be sure to come back on Friday to purchase your tickets and participate in the Ticket Bomb!
Letter from Ron:
Tuesday, July 22, 2008
If they expected us to retire quietly from the scene, the political elite are in for a surprise.
Today I am making some very big announcements.
First, from August 31 to September 2 in Minneapolis, we will host a handful of events that will shake the political establishment. Everything will culminate on Tuesday with the official launch of the Campaign for Liberty at the Rally for the Republic.
The Campaign for Liberty will be the largest organization for peace, freedom, the Constitution, and sound money in American history. It will launch in grand fashion with lots of special guests and - if the early television and print inquiries we've received are any indication - plenty of media attention.
I would like to personally invite you and your family to join me and thousands of others in Minneapolis for these events and send a message to the Republican Party.
Tickets will go on sale for the Rally for the Republic this Friday, July 25 @ 10AM CST. We want this to be an unforgettable day, so we are holding a ticket bomb all day Friday in the tradition of our famous money bombs. How many seats can we sell on the first day?
In patriotic fashion all tickets will cost $17.76, so you can afford to bring the whole family.
This leads me to the second big announcement. After measuring the excitement and enthusiasm, we decided that the Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota was just too small to hold you. Therefore, we are making a significant upgrade. The Rally for the Republic will now take place at the Target Center, the largest arena in Minneapolis!
This promises to be the most spirited and provocative political event of the year! We held some very large rallies during the presidential campaign, but I have never attempted anything of this scale before. Its success rests entirely in your hands.
Later this week I will announce two internationally renowned musicians as headliners for the Rally for the Republic. We'll also be joined by rock star Aimee Allen, NBC's Tucker Carlson, Barry Goldwater Jr., Gov. Gary Johnson, conservative stalwart Grover Norquist, former Reagan deputy Attorney General Bruce Fein, presidential historian Doug Wead, MTV's Adam Curry, musician Mark Scibilia, and Frank Sinatra impersonator Rick Ellis. Other special guests will be announced soon.
My staff has been working overtime to provide you with three full days of entertainment. Please visit the schedule page of the website and read all about upcoming events. We also have a lodging page to help you find accommodations in Minneapolis.
Together we are taking back our government and restoring the republic. Please join me in Minneapolis to kickoff the Campaign for Liberty and support our Revolution. Can I count on you to be there?
In Liberty,
P.S. I know that you have done so much already, but with both major party nominees threatening to lead us into bankruptcy at home and more wars abroad, the success of the Rally for the Republic and the launch of the Campaign for Liberty is crucial. Please do what you can to be in Minneapolis August 31 - September 2 and send a loud and clear message of freedom, peace, and prosperity.

Grassroots Agenda-What should we do for the next month?
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/55900
Don't know if you read Daily Paul but this was posted this morning. Made me think about people who supported RP but may not have kept up with the latest RP news and not be aware of the rally in September. There's not much time to get the word out or for that matter/plan on attending! It's hard for those who are not close to Minneapolis to attend the rally but it WOULD be great to "get the word out" in the North/Northwest........

So, who wants to carpool?. I know there must be tons of people going from Austin, Where's the Vegetable oil powered bus?
Please put it out there if you know of any plans for mass transport to the rally.

Hi All,
The message below has been forwarded by the TX leadership.
In Liberty
Grant Rostig
Quote
Subject: Rally for the Republic
The Campaign for Liberty's Rally for the Republic and grand unveiling is
now just under a month away, and I wanted to provide an update and some
links to more information.
First, one housekeeping item: Jean McIver was initially listed on the
CFL site as the Coordinator for Texas, but given her new role as SREC
representative for SD 12 she hasn't had the time to continue her State
Coordinator duties. I have therefore been asked to take this on, at
least for the Rally, and am glad to do so, with help from the other
grassroots organizers who have been making this happen over the last
year. I'm a big fan of everything Jean's done and I don't really plan
to do anything differently. I see this rather as a validation of the
work we in the grassroots have *all* done so far, and will continue to
work with our Texas team to move the grassroots voice forward both in
this Revolution and in the RPT.
To that end, I'd like to encourage all of you who are sitting on the
fence about going to the Rally and other events to please make plans to
be there, and ask those of you who have decided not to go to reconsider.
I know that many of us have already spent significant time and money on
this Revolution, and a lot just aren't sure they can afford more to be
there. I'm not asking you to go to be entertained, though you no doubt
will be entertained. I'm not asking you to go for training, though
there will be many experienced people there to provide training. I am
primarily asking you to go to make sure that Texas carries forward the
voice of the grassroots as the next phase of the Revolution is formed
and launched. Texas needs a Texas-sized delegation. We want to show
the Revolution, the nation, and the world that the Revolution is alive
and well in Ron's state, and we want our voices and ideas heard. Many
of you have asked me and other coordinators what the goal of the CFL
will be and what exactly the Rally is for. While more answers to those
questions are becoming available and will be listed below, in the end my
answer is the same as it has been all along--whatever they have in mind,
the grassroots are what have brought us this far, and we need to go to
make sure the CFL can hear from the grassroots what is needed and we can
all move forward together.
Those who attended the DC March came home encouraged and anxious to
continue things in Minnesota. We also have quite a few fellow freedom
fighters who were elected national delegates and will be down the road
fulfilling the duty they were elected for while continuining to work for
progress. Between them, the two events in Minnesota--the Republican
National Convention and the Rally for the Republic--represent the
culmination of all of our efforts of the last year and the beginning of
what comes next, and whatever happens, those who aren't there are going
to regret not being part of it. Hundreds of Texas Patriots have
purchased tickets so far, but there's room for plenty more. Tickets can
be purchased online from
http://rally.campaignforliberty.com/
Several major events have been announced around the Rally. These
include:
o "Real Politics Training School" on Sunday, August 31, Noon - 9:00pm.
This training will be conducted by experienced campaign
professionals from Ron Paul's Congressional and Presidential
campaigns, as well as other experts. Topics on the agenda include
working your precinct, strategy and tactics, coalitions,
communications, organization, media, fundraising, etc.
Training is $85 (includes dinner) and is limited to 550
participants. The Texas organizers have set a goal to have a
minimum one person from EVERY SD in Texas, and have been talking to
SD coordinators for recommendations. We are encouraging people to
go on their own and pay their own way, but some scholarships are
also available, courtesy of Lisa Mallory and the Austin meetup. If
you are interested in going and bringing this training back to your
SD, please contact me or your SD coordinator from the State
Convention.
o "Campaign for Liberty Leadership Summit" on Monday, September 1,
8:30am - 4:30pm.
At this Summit, representatives from every Congressional District
in the US will gather to discuss the future of the Revolution and
Ron Paul's vision for the ongoing Campaign for Liberty. We will
also discuss the CFL's structure and ratify its Constitution.
Attendance at the Summit is limited to one person from each CD,
plus two at-large from each state, to parallel the makeup of a
joint session of the US Congress. We have been working with CD
coordinators and other volunteers to determine appropriate
representation and fill out the Texas delegation, and are
finalizing the last few spots now. Names will be distributed in a
later email.
There will also be a Ron Paul book signing and pre-rally
celebration Monday afternoon and evening.
o "Rally for the Republic" on Tuesday, September 2, 11:30am - 10:00pm.
This is the main event and the official kickoff to the Campaign for
Liberty. Nearly 12 hours of musicians and speakers will fill out
the rally to end all rallies, with Ron Paul himself headlining with
a speech that will define our place in history.
We are also looking into the possibility of having an event for all the
Texas people, including our RNC delegates. We will keep you posted.
If you are looking for help getting to Minnesota, there are a couple of options:
o In Texas, Liberty Dollar is offering very reasonable rates for both
travel to Minnesota and lodging during the rally. Details are not
yet final, but the current listed rate is $300 from DFW and $325
from Houston or Austin. Again, this includes travel there and back
and lodging for Sunday-Tuesday nights.
See
http://dallas.libertydollar.org/events.php
o There are also RonVoys providing service from DFW, Houston, and
Austin. Tickets start at $150 and quantities are limited.
See
http://ronvoytotherally.eventbrite.com/
Additionally, we have not forgotten our national delegates. These
people worked the hardest of any of us to be selected by their peers to
enter the lion's den and fight for liberty, prosperity, and peace. They
will continue this fight while we are all at the rally, and we will
recognize them while we are there. Many of them still need funds,
however, to get there. There are several chipins setup for them and
other causes; please review the list below and consider helping them
out. If you know of other related chipins or efforts that aren't
listed, please let me know.
Houston area delegates:
http://libertydelegates.com/
(chipin on the left)
San Antonio delegates:
http://ronpaulsanantonio.chipin.com/delegates-to-national
Help cover cost of the Real Politics Training tickets Lisa Mallory purchased:
http://meetup.chipin.com/tx-rally-training-fund
Last but not least, help continue to raise funds for the ongoing legal
battle in Nueces County:
http://fairconvention.chipin.com/remembernueces
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, and we'll try to
answer them.

Ron Paul Rally for the Republic- Bigger than the rest of the Republican Party
http://targetfreedom.typepad.com/targetfreedom/2008/09/ron-paul-rally-for-the-republic--bigger-than-the-rest-of-the-republican-party.html
This event was in the biggest convention center in the state, and it was packed!
The rest of the republicans were in a much smaller hall.
Yet the media gave the Ron Paul Rally for the Republic very little coverage. BUT, WE are now the media. Get this OUT.
Get on the blogs. Get on youtube. Get on Google, etc.
Do your own email distributions.

St. Paul Cop Dragging Protester Jumped, Sprays Crowd

A St. Paul police officer who was dragging an alleged protester down the street may now have added the term R3VOLUTION to his spell checker.
Note: In posting this video I am not advocating attacks on police, or violence of any kind. Of course that includes violent attacks BY police.

John McCain is not in St. Paul.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/01/us/politics/01repubs.html?ref=us
Mr. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney announced that they would not attend the convention as planned on Monday.
Sarah Palin is not in St. Paul.
Most of the Republicratic big shots are not in St. Paul.
This is all supposedly because of the pending "national emergency" of Gustav in the Gulf Coast.
Perhaps the real reason is fear of looking so bad, while standing in the shadow of Ron Paul's Rally for the Republic.
http://www.rallyfortherepublic.com/
They can fake the polls to make it look as though the people support them. They can even rig the elections with the voting machines. But they need an excuse for why they cannot assemble a good sized crowd of supporters. This is especially important when Ron Paul DOES assemble a good sized crowd of supporters in the same town, at the same time.
